Arsenal are considering a summer swoop for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, according to Mercato365.
The Gunners look poised to splash some cash when the transfer window opens once again, as they bid to ensure they are challenging for the Premier League title rather than battling simply to stay in the top four in 2013/14.
And Dzeko has emerged as a potential attacking reinforcement for Arsene Wenger’s men, with the French tactician well aware that the striker has grown frustrated with warming the bench at the Etihad Stadium.
The former Wolfsburg striker has started in just 15 of his 30 appearances in the Premier League this season, yet he has still bagged 13 goals.

And in yesterday’s FA Cup final, Dzeko was only brought on from the bench in the 90th minute by manager Roberto Mancini, with his side 1-0 down against Wigan.
Mancini preferred to start with Argentine duo Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero in the 1-0 defeat against the Latics at Wembley.
Dzeko’s contract with the Citizens runs until 2016 and Manchester City will surely not allow him to leave for anything less than a substantial sum.
