Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar has admitted that he is at a loss to predict his future after being told by the club they will face difficulty retaining his services.

Cesar decided to leave former club Inter Milan to test his luck in the Premier League, where QPR are willing to take him, signing the veteran Brazilian after they signed former England number one Rob Green.

Since then, Cesar has established himself as a first-class keeper under manager Mark Hughes and successor Harry Redknapp, but found his progress at Loftus Road hampered by injuries.

With the club relegated to the Championship, Cesar was told to keep his options open as finances will be a factor.

"The manager has already made clear that it would be hard for me to stay at the club. I’m glad they feel that way, it is a sign that my work has been recognised", Cesar told SportTV.

QPR’s relegation, the Brazilian admits, placed his career in limbo. "My future at the moment is still a question mark."

Cesar could find himself finding a new club soon, with London giants Arsenal believed to be keen on signing him. Indeed, Redknapp has told the Gunners to come up with the cash if they do want the shot-stopper.
