Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has vowed to hold manager Carlo Ancelotti to the terms of his contract, no matter the cost.
Ancelotti has been heavily linked with the potentially vacant seat at Real Madrid, with incumbent Jose Mourinho widely tipped for a return to Premier League side Chelsea in the summer.
PSG boss Ancelotti, who secured a first league title in 19 years for the capital club, had reportedly asked for a move to Madrid, despite having a year left on his contract.
And Al-Khelaifi has appeared firm on his decision to let Ancelotti see out his contract until the end of the season in 2014, despite claiming in an interview last week to Gazzetta dello Sport that "it wouldn’t be a big problem if Ancelotti asked to leave."

Al-Khelaifi on Monday told his television channel BeINSPORT: "It will cost what it costs us, but we will honour our contract.
"I said [Ancelotti] has a one year contract with us."
On the possibility of Ancelotti moving to Real Madrid, a desire which the Italian has himself expressed during meetings with the president and sporting director Leonardo, Al-Khelaifi added: "I really believe there is a pre-contract with Real.
"Do not think that Real will venture to sign a contract with Carlo. If you do, there will be a legal problem."
