Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are in the thick of the race for Montpellier’s creative schemer Remy Cabella, according to French daily La Provence.

Cabella was an impressive figure in Montpellier’s winning of the Ligue 1 title in 2012 and, though the Stade de la Mosson outfit have struggled to live up to those standards in the current campaign, he has again demonstrated his ability.

Indeed, the 23-year-old has made 30 appearances for Rene Girard’s men this season, finding the back of the net on seven occasions.

Montpellier supremo Laurent Nicollin, well aware of interest in the player, has insisted that Cabella is not for sale and only a figure of €100m would change the club’s mind.

That has not put off his suitors though.

Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Inter are all keen on acquiring Cabella this summer.

And bids are sure to land on Montpellier’s doormat when the transfer window swings open again, with the French club’s hard-line stance set to be tested.
