Real Madrid president Florentino Perez only needs to pick up his phone and make the necessary call should he want outgoing Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes to take over at the Santiago Bernabeu next season, says the German tactician’s agent, Enrique Reyes.

Heynckes’ stock has surely risen this season as he masterminded Bayern Munich’s rise to both domestic and international glory, with them lifting both the Bundesliga and the Champions League trophies. Not only that, they are also set to clinch the German Cup title, with the Bavarian giants firm favourites to see off opponents Stuttgart.

Heynckes is also no greenhorn when it comes to the affairs at Real Madrid, having already led the club during the 1997/98 campaign, leading Los Blancos to Champions League and Spanish Super Cup victories – although he was dismissed for the club’s poor form in La Liga.

With rumours of the Borussia Monchengladbach alumnus pondering retirement, Real Madrid may halt those plans by bringing the manager to Spain for one last run, something that the tactician’s agent says can be easily dealt with.

"The decision is Florentino’s to take", Reyes told Radio Nacional de Espana in an interview.

"If Florentino calls us, then we would accept the offer. But he should know that the one that should make the decision is Florentino, not Heynckes", the agent added.

Heynckes is free to manage another club next season, with his contract at the Allianz Arena set to expire come 30th June.
