La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have denied coming to an agreement with Liverpool to sell the Reds striker Iago Aspas.

The 25-year-old has been widely linked with heading to Anfield, with the English media having claimed a deal is done for around €9m to take the Spaniard to Liverpool.

However, Celta Vigo have told local newspaper Faro de Vigo that, while there are several offers on the table for Aspas, none have yet been accepted and the striker is not on his way out of the club at present.

Celta Vigo are fighting against relegation from La Liga, with the club one point from safety with one game to play.

They host Espanyol tomorrow, while the club they could overtake, Deportivo La Coruna, play host to Real Sociedad.

And Celta Vigo will only take a decision over Aspas when the season is over and they know in which league they will play for 2013/14.

Liverpool are also not the only team to have made an offer for Aspas, with English clubs Reading and Swansea suitors, while Dynamo Kyiv and Valencia are keen too.
