Monaco have denied being in the race for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
The Argentine, who has just one year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, has been floated as a target for the big spending principality club, who recently lavished cash on Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez from FC Porto, while Ricardo Carvalho also arrived from Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Monaco are now close to securing the signature of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid.
But they will not be pairing him with Tevez, sporting director Vadim Vasilyev has insisted, with the Argentine not on their agenda.
