Outgoing Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has confirmed that he is taking a break as a coach.
The German tactician has also insisted that he will be on holiday from 1st July.
He guided the Bavarians to a historic treble this season, steering them to their 23rd Bundesliga title, the fifth Champions League crown, as well as the 16th German Cup trophy.
There was speculation that Heynckes could either retire completely from football, or return to Real Madrid, where he has been linked with succeeding Jose Mourinho.

However, he has quashed the link with Los Blancos, and has insisted that he is going nowhere at the moment, and wants to enjoy his life.
“There’s life after working life too. I want to enjoy my life now”, the 68-year-old said in a farewell press conference at the Allianz Arena.
Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is replacing him at the Munich outfit this summer, and Heynckes has his future plans lined up.
“The first thing I’m going to do is go on holiday. I won’t be taking up any engagement after 1st July, neither here in Germany nor abroad. I’m going to withdraw, recover, and become a private individual”, he stated.
“The coaching job at FC Bayern costs a huge amount in terms of resolve, power and energy.
“Especially over the last few weeks, I’ve sensed that I’ve been at the limit. It was incredibly demanding, incredibly all-encompassing. I have so many interests”, he explained.
Heynckes has been associated with football, as a player and a manager for almost 50 years. He made his senior team debut as a striker for Borussia Monchengladbach in 1963.
