Colombian goal-poacher Radamel Falcao has explained that he is looking forward to help his new club Monaco achieve their lofty goals.
The lethal striker agreed on a five-year deal last week to join the French side, who will play in the top tier of French football after clinching promotion last season.
The 27-year-old has insisted that his ambition to try new challenges is one of the key reasons for his switch to the Stade Louis II.
"[I have] already arranged everything with Monaco. It is initiating a project with great enthusiasm, and [I am looking forward] to joining the club after the holidays”, Falcao told Colombian daily Futbolred.

“In addition, they are thinking about a new season with new goals. It is an ambitious project in which they want to position the club in the European elite. That is what pushed me, giving me the thing that I thought was necessary to make a decision like this.”
Falcao also praised his former club Atletico Madrid and he has admitted spending the best moments of his career with the Spanish outfit from 2011 until 2013.
"I have spent so far the best moments of my career at Atletico Madrid, where I have lived with wonderful things, managed unforgettable titles, and have left behind a lot of people with a very great human quality.
“I will always be grateful for the help and cooperation at all times and that made us feel good from the start.”
Falcao notched up a total of 41 appearances under Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone in the 2012/13 season, scoring 34 times.
He will be unveiled as a player at Stade Louis II at a future date during the course of Monaco’s pre-season training regime.
