Parisian top guns Paris Saint-Germain remain resolute on their stance of holding onto head coach Carlo Ancelotti despite the willingness of Real Madrid to pay compensation for the tactician’s contract termination, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

It is no secret whatsoever that Ancelotti is poised to make his move from France to Spain. Indeed, Ernesto Bronzetti, a confidant of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, has many times revealed Los Blancos’ intentions to bring the ex-Chelsea manager to the Santiago Bernabeu – and their frustration in trying.

But PSG supremo Nasser Al-Khelaifi is refusing to give in, despite Real Madrid finally agreeing to pay the €4m compensation the Parisian club want for Ancelotti’s departure.

With Leonardo sidelined for nine months for a touchline ban imposed as a penalty for pushing a referee, a more crippling fear is that PSG may forever lose the chance of signing their target head coach Arsene Wenger, who aired recently the possibility of him extending his stay in London.

All things considered, PSG stand the chance of being without a top manager come the next two seasons, with alternative choices unavailable.

Ancelotti’s contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of next season.
