Clement Grenier could be set for another year with Lyon despite being a much sought-after player in Europe, according to the midfielder’s father.
Grenier has been the subject of a long courtship from Premier League giants Arsenal, with the club’s scouts having made the trip to France for a viewing.
Liverpool have also joined the race for the talented 22-year-old, who clocked up 28 league games for Lyon this season with seven goals and five assists.
His agent had previously insisted the "priority…goes to Lyon", with interest also coming from AC Milan and Juventus, and Michel Grenier told Telefoot: "I think Clement will be with Lyon next season."

Grenier’s contract at Lyon runs until 2014, and all eyes will be on Lyon to see if they are willing to let him go on a free transfer in case a move does not work out this year.
The Arsenal link has prompted Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas to announce that the Gunners should be prepared to pay a price similar to that Bayern Munich paid for Mario Gotze – €37m.
Gremier made the step up from Lyon’s youth side in 2008 and has since played on 75 occasions, including making a substitute appearance in the 2012 Coupe de France final victory against Quevilly.
