Eredivisie side Vitesse have given their green light on a bid of €8.5m from English Premier League giants Chelsea for highly-rated 20-year-old Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf.
The player has however not yet agreed personal terms with the London outfit.
The Blues presented Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho as the manager of the club in a press conference yesterday, and the former Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and FC Porto boss insisted on the addition of several players in the summer.
“I think every club always have an ambition to add a couple of players – to increase competitiveness”, he said.

It is also believed that Vitesse, who finished fourth in the Dutch top flight in the 2012/13 season, have rejected an offer of €7m for the player from Eredivisie champions Ajax.
Van Ginkel started his youth career with the club in 1999, and he currently has a contract at GelreDome until June 2015.
He clocked up 41 appearances for Vitesse this season, scoring and assisting 12 times.
The player is also presently representing the Netherlands Under-21 side in the European Under-21 Championship in Israel.
