Napoli goalscorer Edinson Cavani has proven to keep in close contact with his family, with his mother revealing that the Uruguayan international has held talks with Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Cavani is a hot commodity in the transfer market, with his scoring form last season of 38 goals in 43 appearances proving to be a very attractive selling point.
And Cavani’s brother Walter Cavani has been a priceless source of information regarding the Napoli man’s future plans, revealing many aspects of his popular brother’s prospects for next season.
With the striker now being linked with London giants Chelsea, it was the player’s mother this time who answered the questions, being quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport as saying: "There are so many rumours, but when something happens, we [his family] will be the first ones to know. My son did have talks with Real [Madrid] and Manchester City.

"The president of Napoli spoke of the possibility of negotiating with Chelsea [for Cavani], but for the moment, there is nothing concrete. In 15 to 20 days, however, he will tell us of his plans and we’ll be able to say something", the Cavani matriarch added.
Cavani’s mother also spoke of her son’s love for Napoli. "I can assure you of one thing: he loves Napoli and he will never forget the love and affection he received from the club’s fans. Napoli will remain forever in his heart."
