Former Everton and Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe is heading to play his football with Reading next season, his agent has confirmed.
Drenthe turned out for Russian side Alania Vladikavkaz last season, joining the side when he was on the verge of retiring from the game completely.
The winger was unable to help Alania avoid relegation from the Russian Premier League, but he rediscovered his love of football in the process.
And now he is heading to sign for Reading, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

"The contract is already signed, but it needs a couple of things beforehand to make it official", Drenthe’s agent Fabian Veldwijk told Spanish daily AS.
"He has a good idea about his new club and he wants to play in England."
Drenthe spent the 2011/12 season in England, on loan at Everton.
