Belgian Pro League heavyweights Club Brugge have signalled their intent to hold on to their young winger Maxime Lestienne by publicly rejecting an €8m bid from Russian side CSKA Moscow.

Lestienne, 20, authored a total 31 goals (18 scored, 13 assisted) for both club and country last season, an impressive attacking option that CSKA Moscow are hoping to add to their ranks.

But according to Het Laatste Nieuws, Club Brugge have no intention of parting ways with their enigmatic young winger, with the club saying, "It is true that we have refused an offer from CSKA, and this goes the same with other Russian clubs thinking of an offer.

"And we will continue to [reject offers]. Lestienne is an important player and we will not let him leave easily", the Belgian side added.
