Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are firmly in the hunt for promising Saint-Etienne centre-back Kurt Zouma, according to Eurosport.
Zouma, 18, proved to be a revelation for Saint-Etienne during the 2012/13 campaign. Indeed, at such a young age, manager Christophe Galtier has given the defender a key role in the team’s backline, with the starlet making a total of 18 league appearances last season, scoring two goals.
Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United are already hot on Zouma’s tail, with the two clubs having already met with the player’s agent, it was earlier revealed.
Saint-Etienne, for their part, are ready to play hardball to ensure Zouma continue playing for the Ligue 1 club until after the transfer market closes – although Zouma himself has already declared his intention to leave.

It is believed though that the two clubs leading the race for Zouma at present are Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, who are keen to tap into the 18-year-old defender’s great potential and sign the Saint-Etienne man.
Zouma’s current contract with Saint-Etienne sees him locked down at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard until the end of the 2016/17 campaign. He is also wanted by wealthy Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
