Guus Hiddink could be set to gain the services of Manchester United first team coach Rene Meulensteen at Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Voetbal International.
Meulensteen has been poised to exit the Premier League champions in the summer, ever since new manager David Moyes' arrival saw the departures of assistant Mike Phelan and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele.
Meulensteen had been Sir Alex Ferguson's right-hand man since 2008, following his time with the youth sides at Old Trafford.
He is expected to turn up for pre-season training in July under Moyes, with his job not under any reported risk.

However, the opportunity to work under an even more established manager such as Hiddink could force a rethink for the 49-year-old.
It is understood that Meulensteen has travelled to Austria, where Anzhi are undergoing their pre-season training, to speak with the club about a possible move.
If he does get the job, Anzhi are expected to keep him on a one-year contract, the same amount of time that Hiddink has been given an extension for.
He was rumoured to be in line for the erstwhile vacant job at Wigan Atheltic, but he insisted earlier this month that he was not leaving Manchester United.
"As I stands I have to report on 1st July", he told Elf Voetbal in early June. "I still have a contract with the club.
"I have not said [I want to leave] and I have not been fired. I am still employed."
