New PSV Eindhoven signing Adam Maher was officially presented today, but technical director Marcel Brands insists the club are nowhere close to the end of their summer acquisitions.
Maher has signed a five-year deal with the Eredivisie giants, and completed his medical today before officially putting pen to paper on his contract.
The 19-year-old makes the move from AZ Alkmaar, and is raring to return the favour in kind after PSV’s efforts to bring him over this summer.
The club had faced competition from Ajax, who eventually pulled out of the race, as well as threats of negotiations breaking down owing to differences in valuation.

However, all is well for the youngster now, and Brands was happy to make him the latest in what will be a few more signings for the club, after recently confirming the arrivals of Jeffrey Bruma and Florian Jozefzoon.
"[Maher’s transfer] took a long time, but in the end it all worked out", Brands told the club’s site. "We’re not done yet, that’s for sure. We will continue strengthening. Our goal is to get players in two or three positions."
And Maher, who played a total of 94 times for AZ, was himself pleased at the move becoming a reality after what had been a long summer of negotiations.
He added: "I’ve been saying for half a year that I wanted to come to PSV and I’m glad it’s finally here.
"PSV have fought for me. The fans also let me know that they like seeing me in Eindhoven. Now I want to repay the club with my performance on the field."
