Swansea City are yet to fully complete Wilfried Bony’s acquisition from Vitesse Arnhem, but the Welsh side have already identified FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli as another potential purchase from Holland.

The Swans are understood to be poised over a deal for Bony, who is desperate to play in England, whilst their European endeavours next season could also be bolstered by Chadli’s talent.

Chadli was hit by injuries last season but still managed 22 Eredivisie appearances and 10 goals for Twente, performances which have impressed many a club in Europe.

Shakhtar Donetsk have already flown him out for a viewing of their facilities, while Juventus, Lokomotiv Moscow and Liverpool have also been linked with hoping to secure the player.

And Swansea today threw their name into the mix, with club chairman Huw Jenkins telling Dutch daily De Telegraaf: "We have many options that we are working towards and Chadli is one of them."

Bony, meanwhile, remains ever hopeful his move to Swansea will be complete, revealing last week that Vitesse’s asking price of €12m was deemed acceptable by last season’s League Cup winners.

And Jenkins was of a similar mind, adding: "Negotiations with Vitesse over Bony have been slow [but] we are still hoping for a positive outcome."
