Feyenoord are still firmly in the hunt to sign Ryo Miyaichi on loan from Arsenal, but must wait until the player has returned from his club’s Asian tour to push a deal over the line.
Miyaichi is thought to be keen on a loan spell at De Kuip but, with the Gunners still in Asia, Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel is not going to get his man quickly.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will take a decision about Miyaichi’s imminent future when the Gunners return from their trip.
But Feyenoord are keen and optimistic they can secure the Japanese starlet on a season-long deal, according to the Algemeen Dagblad.

And the player himself is open to a return to Feyenoord, where he has already spent time on loan in 2011.
"I am fit and I am hoping to take my chance at Arsenal. If that does not happen, then I hope to be loaned", Miyaichi told Voetbal International.
"But right now I am focusing on the Asian tour, then we’ll see what happens."
Feyenoord finished third in the Eredivisie last season, just missing out on Champions League football on goal difference.
In addition to the Dutch outfit, Miyaichi has also had loan spells with Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.
