Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle has ruled out any possibility of La Viola signing Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The classy Italian midfielder has been linked with a return to his homeland, with Fiorentina interested in discovering if the former Pescara man might be available.

However, PSG are keen to keep hold of Verratti and Fiorentina now know that signing the midfielder is off limits.

"Verratti? It will not happen", Della Valle told Radio Blu when asked about a potential swoop.
