Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller has warned Chelsea that the Bavarians "have a score to settle" when the two teams meet in the UEFA Super Cup later this month.

The Bundesliga giants, who won an unprecedented treble last season, have still not forgotten losing to Chelsea in the Champions League final in 2012, a defeat made all the worse by the fact it came on home soil at the Allianz Arena.

Now, Muller has revealed, Bayern Munich are aiming to exact a manner of revenge by crushing Jose Mourinho's men in the UEFA Super Cup on 30th August.

"We still have a score to settle with them, even though we cannot make the lost Champions League final a thing of the past", Muller told his club's official site.

Muller has already been amongst the goals for Bayern Munich so far this season, scoring three goals in four games.

The 23-year-old has a long-term contract at the Bavarians, which runs until the summer of 2017.
