Sevilla have confirmed that midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has initiated a contract termination ahead of his €20m move to Monaco.
The transfer is expected to be complete within the next 48 hours, and Kondogbia has skipped training as a result.
Sevilla have conceded that the 20-year-old is very keen on the move, and has subsequently asked for the contract to be ended.
A statement on Sevilla's website read: "French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is history for Sevilla FC.

"The France international has officially communicated to the club about terminating his contract, unilaterally invoking the termination clause.
"The footballer has said that the €20 million collected will be deposited shortly at the Football League headquarters.
"He has not reported for training, and so was not fired in the presence of his team-mates."
Kondogbia has already been given a thumbs up for the move by his France Under-20 coach Pierre Mankowski, who has hailed the midfielder's versatility.
The sale will come despite additional interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, with Real Madrid also understood to have made a bid earlier in the summer.
