Liverpool will not be signing Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given on loan, according to the BBC.
Brendan Rodgers' men had been trying to sign the veteran shot-stopper to provide experienced cover for current number 1 Simon Mignolet.
However, it appears Given will not be making the move from Villa Park to Anfield this evening.
The 37-year-old joined Aston Villa in 2011 from Manchester City, but has fallen down the pecking order.

Given started his professional career with Blackburn Rovers, moving to sign for Newcastle in 1997.
He remained at St. James' Park until 2009 before landing at Manchester City.
