Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has admitted he is surprised that he is not being played by manager Antonio Conte but insists he will show his skills when given the opportunity.

The 28-year-old goal-poacher moved to Juventus on the Bosman ruling last summer, leaving behind a nine-year career with Athletic Bilbao, where he scored a total 118 goals in 333 appearances.

The future looked bright when the Pamplona-born striker made his move to Turin but as it stands, Llorente has barely made his presence felt, having only played one game in a Bianconeri shirt.

"I'm surprised I'm not being chosen to play but I will repay Juventus the trust they gave me [when they signed me] once I get the chance", the Spaniard told Italian daily La Stampa.

Despite Llorente's apparent commitment to the defending Serie A champions, he has been strongly linked with a January move to a host of Europe's elite, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Llorente started his professional football career with the Third Division side CD Basconia, scoring 12 goals in 33 appearances overall in his debut season in 2003 before turning out with Athletic Bilbao a year later.

Llorente has also earned a total 22 caps for Spain, scoring seven goals for his country along the way.
