Serie A club Juventus are set to reward their excelling players, including highly-rated midfielders Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba, with renewed contracts, managing director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed.
Juventus successfully defended their Italian league title last term in no small part due to their dominant midfield presence, with Vidal and Pogba bossing that area for manager Antonio Conte.
Indeed, the Chilean midfield lynchpin made a total 45 appearances for the Bianconeri last term, scoring 15 goals and assisting 12 more; while young Frenchman Pogba scored five goals in his 27 league matches.
Other veteran players in the Juventus squad, like anchor man Claudio Marchisio and stalwart defender Giorgio Chiellini, are set to be offered renewed deals.

"At this time we are going to revisit the contracts of many of our players who have proven their talent and met our expectations", Marotta told Sky Italia.
"This covers even those players whose contracts are still a long way off from expiring, including Marchisio and Chiellini. We have already approached the players' representatives", the Juventus official added.
When asked if the contracts of Vidal and Pogba, who have been highly linked with various clubs during the summer, will also be extended, Marotta said: "With Vidal, there is no problem.
"He is still our player who, despite the sirens ringing outside calling his departure, still wants to stay with the club and we are delighted with his commitment. The same can be said with Pogba", Marotta concluded.
