Juventus are readying a January swoop for Real Madrid's wantaway left-back Fabio Coentrao, which should see them battle it out with Manchester United for the Portugal international.
Manchester United came within minutes of signing Coentrao from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day last month, but saw the Spanish side pull the plug when they could not land his replacement in Guilherme Siqueira, who joined Benfica.
The re-opening of the transfer window in January is expected to lead to Manchester United moving once again to land Coentrao, but there is interest in the defender from Juventus.
The Italian side are now poised to launch their own move to take the 25-year-old to Turin.

Coentrao was said to be upset and frustrated following the breakdown of his proposed switch to Manchester United, though he later claimed to have little problem remaining at Real Madrid.
However, he has featured just three times for Los Blancos in La Liga this season, while he has also yet to be involved in the Champions League.
Coentrao joined Real Madrid in 2011, moving from Portuguese giants Benfica and being identified as a 'todocampista' by then-coach Jose Mourinho.
He has progressively slipped down the pecking order though and was keen to move on in the summer.
