Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba and is preparing a €30m swoop for the France international, according to Italian outlet Sportmediaset.

Juventus are aware of substantial interest in Pogba, for whom they rejected a number of offers from English clubs in the summer transfer window.

The Turin club have been reassured by Pogba's agent that the midfielder is not looking for the exit door and is minded to extend his contract.

But Juventus' president recently appeared to open the door for a potential sale by admitting he felt a large offer could be hard for the Serie A champions to resist.

Now Chelsea may well test those words by lodging a bid of €30m for Pogba.

The 20-year-old only joined Juventus last year, signing when his contract at Manchester United expired.

He has progressed quickly in Italy, winning a regular France spot as a result, and helped the Bianconeri to retain their Serie A title last term.

So far this season Pogba has made seven appearances in Serie A.

His current contract runs until 2016.
