Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists the club is "in good hands" after an agreement was reached for Erick Thohir to become the majority shareholder.
The signature will bring an effective end to Moratti's reign at the club, which began back in 1995, one that saw several league titles including a historic treble under manager Jose Mourinho. Moratti also oversaw several big-name signings, as well as that of Ireland international Robbie Keane back in 2000.
Indonesian businessman Thohir also owns a majority stake in MLS side DC United, and was the first from his country to own part of a franchise in the NBA when he joined a consortium for the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has now been all-but-confirmed as the new majority stakeholder in Inter Milan, though Moratti today did not reveal if there will be a change in the club's presidency.

"It was all signed", Moratti was today quoted on the Inter website as saying. "I'm happy with things. It seems to me that things are balanced.
"Of course you have all the love for a certain thing, but at this same time I also have the satisfaction and relief to think that I have put this thing in good hands.
"I'm sure of this because they are very decent and good people, even from the point of view of their character."
When asked if he would stay on as president, Moratti added: "I do not know. I think the choice will depend upon me."
The agreement, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, has been made for the transfer of 70% of Inter's shares to Thohir.
Thohir, who is also heavily involved with basketball in Asia, made his fortunes in the media industry by owning, among others, newspapers and TV broadcasting houses.
