Juventus are considering a contract renewal for Paul Pogba in the next fortnight, less than a week after president Andrea Agnelli declared they would consider a sale for the right price.

Pogba's sale would have made sense for Juventus in terms of finances and, following Agnelli's statement, the midfielder has become linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

His agent Mino Raiola had denied any move is imminent and Pogba himself affirmed his commitment to Juventus, with the club at last ready to sit down for talks, according to Sky Italia.

Pogba's current deal runs out in 2016, with the Frenchman having spent just over a year with the Serie A champions.

However, his extension would probably come as little surprise to those who believed managing director Giuseppe Marotta earlier this month.

Marotta declared Juventus were willing to "revisit" the contractual situations around Pogba and Arturo Vidal.

"With Vidal, there is no problem", Marotta had said. "He is still our player who, despite the sirens ringing outside calling his departure, still wants to stay with the club.

"We are delighted with his commitment. The same can be said with Pogba."

Pogba's value had increased several-fold this summer when he helped France lift the Under-20 World Cup, in addition to securing Les Blues a World Cup 2014 spot in last night's 3-0 win over Finland.
