The agent of Saint-Etienne's highly-rated young centre-back Kurt Zouma has opened the door on a potential future move to Italy's Serie A for his client.
Zouma, who starred at this summer's Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, helping France to clinch the title, was the subject of much transfer speculation in the summer window.
His agent admitted that the defender was wanted by Manchester United and Liverpool, while clubs from Chelsea to Wolfsburg and Newcastle to Borussia Dortmund were also linked with the starlet.
But Zouma eventually opted to remain with Saint-Etienne, declaring that he would stay to continue his development.

However, interest in Zouma has not died down and Saint-Etienne are likely to be fighting off renewed approaches for their defensive wunderkind in January.
Now the player's agent has admitted that, given its tactical and defensive nature, Italy's Serie A would be a destination his client would be open to tasting.
"A defender always has interest in playing in Serie A", Zouma's representative David Venditelli explained to FCInterNews.
"Everyone knows the tactical and defensive rigor of that championship", he added.
Zouma is under contract at Saint-Etienne until 2017.
So far this term he has appeared in eight of Les Verts' nine Ligue 1 games.
