Montpellier supremo Louis Nicollin has denied that he is prepared to sell midfield playmaker Remy Cabella, despite the club's coach Jean Fernandez being of the opinion that a firm offer from Manchester United could see the 23-year-old depart.

Cabella has also attracted attention from Marseille, but Nicollin is keen to keep hold of the player, despite him having suffered boos from portions of the Montpellier crowd of late.

"There are a lot of idiots among fans", Nicollin told L'Equipe.

"Anyway, the people who booed are not fans", he added.

And on the subject of Cabella's future, Nicollin is clear, even in the face of talk of an €18m bid from Manchester United and serious interest from Marseille in the creative schemer, which even resulted in an offer from Elie Baup's men.

"He is a good kid. He has learned everything about us and I'm particularly grateful", explained the Montpellier powerbroker, when questioned.

"We don't change our view every morning. When we say we do not sell, we do not sell!"
