High-flying Serie A side Napoli are believed to have earmarked Torino left-back Danilo D'Ambrosio as one of their primary transfer targets.

The 25-year-old's contract with Torino is set to expire at the end of the season – with no renewal talks in sight – prompting teams to go on full alert as they prepare to seize the opportunity of signing the defender.

Indeed, Serie A giants Inter Milan, Roma and Juventus have already sent scouts to see D'Ambrosio in action as the three clubs aim to launch a winter skirmish for defender's signature.

Now Napoli have decided to invite themselves to the party. According to Calcio Mercato, Napoli are prepared to part ways with €3m to seal D'Ambrosio's move to the Stadio San Paolo.

The Azzurri are also open to the possibility of selling co-onwership rights to Belgian midfielder Omar El Kaddouri, who is currently on a loan spell with Torino.

Despite the rumours, D'Ambrosio remains to be a vital cog in the Torino defence, with the player starting in all of the club's eight games so far in all competitions.
