Blaise Matuidi's legal wrangling with his former agent has undoubtedly impacted his contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain, but a solution could be at hand for the Manchester City target.

According to L'Equipe, Matuidi's contract extension could see the light of day before 4th November, the day when proceedings have been scheduled over the player's former agent Jean-Pierre Bernes filing a lawsuit.

Bernes has accused Matuidi of wrongful termination of his contract, and also alleged that super-agent Mino Raiola was the instigator behind it.

Bernes' lawyer Julien Beranger has asked for a total compensation to the tune of €8.5m for his client, with a hearing set for early November.

However, amid the uncertainties, PSG may be ready to put one question to rest despite earlier indications that a contract extension for Matuidi would only happen after the hearing.

With Manchester City lurking and Matuidi's contract expiring next summer, PSG are thinking of advancing the renewal so as to avoid any notion of a pre-contract agreement with another club in January.

Matuidi's footballing path has so far been on a positive trend, with nine Ligue 1 appearances and a goal, in what his is third season with PSG.

Matuidi, who also boasts 15 caps with France's senior team, moved over from Saint-Etienne in 2011 and has been a regular feature in midfield for the defending champions.
