Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are shaping up for an off-field battle over Arlind Ajeti with scouts watching the FC Basel defender in action last night.
Ajeti came on as an 87th-minute substitute in Basel's Champions League away clash against Steaua Bucharest, which ended 1-1.

And scouts from both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were in the stands, and Ajeti is understood to be under close scrutiny.
Ajeti's contract at Basel is until next summer, though the club do retain the option of extending it by two years.

Centre-back Ajeti has made his way up the Basel youth ranks and graduated to the senior squad in 2011.
He is yet to break into the Switzerland senior team, though he does have eight caps with the Under-21 side.
In Borussia Dortmund's case, it will not be the first time they are linked with a move for a Basel player, as Fabian Schar came into view earlier this month.
Schar was believed to be of interest as a potential replacement for Mats Hummels, who was being rumoured for a move to Barcelona.
However, both Hummels and Borussia Dortmund have since denied any such exit is in the offing.
