Manchester United are preparing to bid up to €30m to snap up midfielder Miralem Pjanic from Italian giants Roma.
The Red Devils are poised to splash the cash when the transfer window opens once again in January, with manager David Moyes keen to boost his engine room options and provide a greater goal threat from the centre of the park.
The Premier League champions failed with moves for a whole host of midfielders over the summer – but €30m is ready to ensure Roma cannot resist selling Pjanic, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.
Pjanic has been consistently admired by Tottenham Hotspur, but it remains to be seen if Andre Villas-Boas' men will enter the race to oppose Manchester United.
