Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has denied Emmanuel Adebayor will be coming in on loan, after the Togolese was reportedly spotted in the stands for their goalless draw against Wigan Athletic this week.

QPR have been linked with bringing Adebayor, whom Redknapp admires, in on loan at Loftus Road though it is not known if Tottenham Hotspur will allow the same.

Adebayor was, at one point, an outcast at Spurs but has since returned to the first-team fold though he is yet to make his first appearance of the new season.

Any speculation of a loan move was fuelled by reports that Adebayor had been at the DW Stadium in Wigan on Wednesday, but Redknapp today told a press conference: "He's not coming here.

"There's not a chance he's coming here at the moment."

When asked if Adebayor was, in fact, at the game which kept QPR in third place in the Championship, Redknapp said: "Not a chance.

"There's not a lot of chance of getting him up to Wigan on a wet, windy and cold Wednesday night. I'd think he would have had somewhere better to go."

Adebayor has also been linked with moves to Turkish sides in the last few weeks, with Besiktas and Trabzonspor both interested in his services.
