A January transfer battle for FC Groningen starlet Richairo Zivkovic, who has been dubbed the "new Arjen Robben" is threatening to break out.

The talent has been eased into the Eredivisie this term by Groningen, with Barcelona sending a scout to take in his silky skills recently, while Liverpool are firm fans and Russian outfit Spartak Moscow are determined not to be left in the cold.

It is also thought Chelsea and Manchester City have cast their eyes towards Zivkovic and the youngster's agent admits his client is indeed a wanted man, while he also pointed out that the 17-year-old could be ready to try his luck outside Holland.

Daan Kramp told Izvestia: "The career of Richairo is developing rapidly.

"He has proven to be great in the Eredivisie this season, scoring some very important goals.

"It is not surprising that several Dutch, England and Russian clubs are interested in Zivkovic. He is a tremendous talent that has been with Groningen for 13 years.

"The club has turned into his family, but in the case of worthy proposals, the player is ready for change.

"Despite his young age, Richairo is a mature man who is willing to try his hand outside the Netherlands."

Zivkovic is under contract with Groningen until the summer of 2016.

He has yet to be capped by Holland at senior international level and has already been approached by representatives of the Serbian Football Association, due to his mother being Serbian.
