Marc-Andre ter Stegen should snub interest from Barcelona in favour of signing a new contract at Borussia Monchengladbach, the club's sporting director says.
The German goalkeeper is high on Barcelona's list to replace the departing Victor Valdes and the Blaugrana's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has been to see Ter Stegen in action.
But Gladbach are desperate to keep hold of the 21-year-old and Max Eberl is confident they will.
The sporting director told the Rheinische Post: "There have been talks on a renewal, but in the end the decision is up to him.
