Liverpool striker Iago Aspas has explained he feels he has much scope for improvement when he finally makes his return from injury.
The Reds snapped up the Spaniard from Celta Vigo over the summer, but his impact has so far been mooted at Anfield.
Injury niggles have not helped and the 26-year-old has been out of action since the middle of last month after hurting his thigh in training.
Aspas is now nearing his return though and the striker is determined that when he does he can take a step upwards in terms of the level he has shown so far.

"Not playing is frustrating, but I can take advantage of this stoppage, and try to get back to playing as soon as possible", he told his club's official site.
"I think I can improve; I am happy with the team's level but not so much individually because I think I can do a lot better.
"First I want to recover from my injury and afterwards I can use my qualities better and exploit them better as a centre-forward.
"I have been injured for four weeks, but I have been training for four or five days on the pitch – running and exercising. I am a lot better."
And Aspas believes that he should be ready to put himself at the disposal of manager Brendan Rodgers within the next two weeks.
"Soon I will be able to kick the ball. In 10 days to two weeks I will be ready to play."
