Kevin De Bruyne would be a much better servant for Belgium next summer if he sought regular football away from Chelsea, according to compatriot and club team-mate Eden Hazard.

De Bruyne has been a fringe player at Chelsea this season despite being called back after his loan spell at Werder Bremen in the summer.

Manager Jose Mourinho had insisted on De Bruyne's return, but just three appearances in the Premier League are hurting his chances of making Marc Wilmots' Belgium squad for Brazil 2014.

And with clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen, Schalke and Wolfsburg on his tail, the solution is simple for Hazard.

"Playing a World Cup after you have not played football for a year is very difficult", Hazard told Belgian outlet Sporza. "An exit would be good for him and for the team.

"If we want to get the best from Kevin going forward, it is better that he leaves. But he's a big boy and he has to make his own choices."

De Bruyne's situation has also attracted interest from Anderlecht though a contract clause when he left Jupiler League rivals Genk for Chelsea seems sure to scupper any loan move.
