Serie A leaders Roma are plotting a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore in the January transfer window, but may have to battle interest from a number of clubs to land the Argentine.
Pastore has struggled to make an impact at the Parc des Princes this season, with performances which have seen him targeted by a section of the club's fans.
The Argentine's agent has admitted that his client will assess his situation in the new year, when the transfer window swings open again.
According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Roma are keen to provide a new home for Pastore, although it remains unclear as to whether their offer will be a straight cash bid or a loan with a view to a permanent switch.

The Giallorossi could be poised for competition for the 24-year-old though, with Liverpool firm fans of his talents, while Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has dubbed Pastore "class" and told him to ignore the PSG boo boys; there is also interest from Fenerbahce and Napoli.
Pastore has made just seven appearances in Ligue 1 so far this term and has lost his regular place in the club's starting eleven.
The attacking midfielder landed at PSG in the summer of 2011, the Ligue 1 giants snapping him up for a fee of €42m from Palermo.
