Alex Song is ready to quit Barcelona in the January transfer window and prefers a move to Serie A over a return to the Premier League, according to Tutto Mercato.
The tough-tackling Cameroonian midfielder has struggled to cement a regular first team spot at the Camp Nou since joining the Spanish champions in the summer of 2012 from English side Arsenal.
He was thought to be close to demanding to leave Barcelona this summer, but his old boss at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, advised against such a hasty course of action.
Now though, in a World Cup year and with the January transfer window approaching, Song is open to pastures new.

However, with AC Milan and Inter both interested in signing the midfielder, he prefers to try his hand in Italy rather than head back to England.
Song's stock is still high in England and the Cameroonian is thought to be on the wanted list at Manchester United.
Arsenal have also been linked with bidding to bring back their former player, a reunion which Song himself has refused to rule out happening at some point.
