Real Sociedad will not be tempted into a lucrative sale for forward Antoine Griezmann no matter what the likes of Manchester United offer, president Jokin Aperribay has claimed.

Griezmann is being tracked by Manchester United, among others from England, and he is understood to have a €30m release clause.

The 22-year-old has been observed at close quarters by the Red Devils, when he played in the Champions League at Old Trafford.

However, despite the potential financial boost his sale could offer, Aperribay has no intention of offloading his prized asset.

"I have not had any open conversation with Griezmann", Aperribay told AS. "Yesterday, I had coffee with him but we did not talk about money or contracts.

"We do not expect to have any offers for him because this year Real do not need the money."

Griezmann has already scored eight goals in 11 games for Real Sociedad in La Liga and insists the transfer talk does not bother him too much.

He said in early November: "I know that some English clubs are following me and that Manchester United is one of them. It's nice to hear such a thing, but I'm not letting it destabilise my work."
