Barcelona are leaving the ball in coach Gerardo Martino's court over winter transfer window reinforcements.

The Blaugrana are on an almost unheard of run of two straight defeats, having gone down in the Champions League to Ajax and in La Liga at the weekend to Athletic Bilbao.

The side have been under fire for playing more direct football, which has resulted in their possession statistics falling.

Defence remains a concern too, with Javier Mascherano not having convinced.

But according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, the club have not made any decision over new signings in January and will wait for Martino's verdict.

Barcelona have not intended to dip into the transfer market in the winter, but if Martino insists on reinforcements that could change.

The Catalans have already decided however to purchase a new central defender and midfielder in time for the 2014/15 campaign.
