Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal admits there had been interest from clubs this season for him, but the Chilean is happy with his "dream" of a contract renewal.
Vidal's extension was confirmed yesterday and he will stay on with Juventus until 2017, this despite some speculation that he could switch to Real Madrid.
Though there was no inkling of a formal approach, Vidal was quoted by Italian outlet Sportmediaset as saying: "There was interest from other clubs.
"However, I am doing very well here both with my wife and in the locker room, which is like family.

"It is a renewal that is important to me and my family – for all of them. I think it's a dream to stay in a very strong team. I'm very happy and thank you to all the fans and managers.
"I remember when I contacted my agent and he told me that Juve was interested. I told him to quickly close the deal because it is the team I had always dreamed of."
Vidal has been enjoying life on the pitch for Juventus as well, with 14 games and five goals in Serie A so far, capped with a hat-trick in the Champions League against FC Copenhagen late last month.
