Swansea City have set their sights on Spartak Moscow forward Jose Manuel Jurado as a potential replacement for the injured Michu and Nathan Dyer.

According to Russian daily Izvestia, the Swans have been following Jurado, who has been contracted at Spartak since last summer.

He spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Spartak from Schalke before making the move permanent.

Swansea were recently linked with Liverpool's Iago Aspas, but manager Michael Laudrup had admitted chances of convincing Liverpool of the move were slim.

However, is not yet clear if Swansea are going to bid for Jurado, who is considered an asset by his Spartak leaders.

His six goals in 18 league games have put Spartak well in with a chance to make a title bid, given they are just a point behind the top two.

Jurado is a former Real Madrid youth academy graduate, but could only manage four games for the first team.

His time in Spain also saw him turn out for Atletico Madrid and Mallorca, while he moved to Germany in 2010 in a reported €11m deal.
