Carlo Ancelotti was pleased at Real Madrid's progress to the Copa del Rey final even if it is the "least important" competition in his sights.

Real Madrid sealed the berth thanks to a 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid yesterday, winning 5-0 on aggregate.

With Cristiano Ronaldo getting both goals at the Vicente Calderon, it gives Los Blancos the chance to get an early title in.

Barcelona, though, could stand in their way as they take a 2-0 first-leg advantage into their second-leg against Real Sociedad tonight.

And Ancelotti told a press conference: "This is the least important one in our plan because we have La Liga and the Champions League to play for too.

"But reaching a final is always a good thing for the team. All teams see this as an important competition.

"It's different in England where it might not be more important than the league. Here, everyone has done their best to reach the final. We are trying to win all of the competitions that we are in."

Ronaldo, who scored both goals from the penalty spot, is alleged to have been hit with a lighter from the crowd as the teams walked off for the half-time break.

The incident came a short while after Ronaldo received a yellow card for a heavy tackle on Javier Manquillo, and Atletico Madrid could face charges from the Spanish federation.
