Stephan El Shaarawy has reiterated his love for AC Milan after claiming he gave up a big-money chance to move to Russia last summer.

The 21-year-old forward was subject to interest from Liverpool as well last year, at a time when Milan were also looking to offload players such as Robinho.

Milan denied El Shaarawy would leave but things were complicated thereafter with two long-term injuries, and he is expected back at the end of February.

However, the player nicknamed 'The Pharaoh' wants only to prove himself to new coach, and former team-mate, Clarence Seedorf.
