The financial scandal around Brazilian star Neymar was, indeed, one of the reasons behind Sandro Rosell's resignation as president, a Barcelona chief has admitted.
Rosell stepped down from his post last month amid allegations of misappropriated funds around the €57m transfer of Neymar from Santos.

Josep Maria Bartomeu was installed as his successor, with the club continuing their winning ways on the pitch.
However, the club's treasurer Susana Monje today told Chilean radio station Cooperativa: "[The situation around] Neymar was one of the reasons for his departure.

"The signing was very complicated and I hope we do not have to go through something similar again, with respect to contract confidentiality."
Following his resignation, Rosell continued to maintain that Neymar's signing had followed the required procedures.
The ex-president, who oversaw several domestic and international titles in his tenure, had said at the time: "From the beginning I have said that the signing of Neymar Jr has been correct and his signing has caused despair and envy in some of our adversaries.
"I don't want unfair attacks to negatively affect their management or the image of the club. This is why I think my time here has come to an end."
